The Kelowna Paddle Centre is a non-profit society operating in cooperation with the City of Kelowna to provide our community safe, accessible paddling sports for families, individuals and competitors. KPC offers: annual membership, drop-in paddles, public programs for non-members and youth summer camps.

The Kelowna Paddle Centre is the easiest way for you to go paddling! Your membership gives you full access to the Kelowna Paddle Centre and everything you need to go paddling on Okanagan Lake. It also means you are a part of our growing community – whether you are a complete beginner or experienced competitor.

As a member you have access to the paddle centre facility (including change rooms, showers, and clubhouse), free use of KPC equipment from sunrise to sunset, and unlimited classes.

Your membership gives you access to over 100 KPC boats and boards – you don’t have to buy, transport, or store your own (though we do offer limited private boat storage for members with their own boat).

Your membership makes enjoying our lake as easy as parking your car and going for a paddle. Memberships start March 1st and end February 28th.

No worries! Membership includes unlimited Learn-To, Recreational, and Fitness classes for Outrigger Canoe, Surfski, Paddle Board, and Kayak. Our instructors will help you learn to safely paddle. While you are learning you’ll be able to take out paddleboards and kayaks on your own near the centre. 

Once you are ready, you can complete an accreditation test that lets you paddle anywhere on the lake with whichever kinds of boat or board you are capable in. 

Members have free access to all KPC equipment and can make advance reservations online. Our inventory includes Outrigger Canoes for one to six paddlers, single and double Surfskis and  Kayaks, and Stand Up Paddle boards (SUP) in a range of lengths. We also have PFDs, paddles, training accessories, and other safety equipment for members to use. We continue to add new gear and it is rare that members can’t paddle the boat they want when they want.

Our guest policy allows members to bring friends and family for a small drop-in fee ($25). Guests can visit up to three times at the discounted rate.

Accredited members can paddle year round with the proper accreditation. Programs and classes run from April to September.

Members have access to the paddle centre, change rooms, showers, boat storage, and equipment from sunrise to sunset.

First time memberships may be eligible for a refund within 14 days of purchase if there has been no use of equipment or the facility during that time. A $30.00 admin fee will apply.

Membership dues are otherwise non-refundable.

The KPC yearly membership runs from March 1st until February 28th. Membership dues are established on an annual basis by the Board of Directors.

Memberships are non-transferable and only valid during the season they are purchased for.  Memberships are not valid until paid in full.
