Last month Hugh Culver facilitated an excellent strategic planning session for the Board of Directors. Following the session we have a number of focus areas and goals that we think will make this season one of our best ever.
Season Kick-Off Party
We had a full house at the Season Kick-Off Party at Barn Owl Brewing on March 5. It was great to see so many people out and excited for the start of the season. Thanks to Dani Sarbit and everyone else involved in making the party a success.

P6 Programs and Time Trials
The new P6 program led by Tamlyn is off to a great start. 18 paddlers participated in the initial time trial on March 1st and the have put together an excellent women’s crew heading to compete at March Madness in False Creek. Learn more about the P6 program here.

STAFF APPLICATIONS
- We will be starting interviews for seasonal positions over the March Break. Anyone interested in working for KPC this summer should apply soon to be considered in this first round of interviews.

STORAGE AND LOCKER RENEWAL DEADLINE
- Payment for 2026 lockers and boat/board storage is due on March 15.
- Renew your locker or storage by the deadline to avoid it being reassigned to someone from the waiting list.
- Please contact Fraser if you have questions or require assistance.
EARLY BIRD MEMBERSHIP DEADLINE
- The annual Early Bird membership sale ends April 5 (Easter Sunday).
- Purchase your 2026 membership by the deadline to save 15%.
OUTRIGGER ACADEMY
- The first session for the Outrigger Academy program is on Tuesday April 7 at 6pm.
- Outrigger Academy is a 6-week program to prepare paddler to be part of an OC6 crew.
- Only 18 spaces are available so register early.
