Recent Highlights

While Fraser was away last week, Kirsten and Ella both were a huge help in making sure the centre and programs ran as smoothly as possible. A huge thanks to both of them for their hard work, including preparations for Light Up the Lake!

Over 40 students from Spring Valley Middle School visited on September 12th, and our friends from Cristalina PARC visited September 10th & 17th. Thanks a ton to Carmen, Bev, and Al for your help with these groups!

Staff back to school:
- With the summer staff all back at school or excited to start their careers, we have a minimum of personnel working at the centre.
- Please let Fraser know if there’s anything you need, especially related to the facility and maintenance.
What's Happening This Week
LIGHT UP THE LAKE
- Our traditional wrap up for the season is happening this Thursday, September 25th at 6pm. Join us for a twilight paddle followed by a barbeque and social on the patio. Find more info here.

CORA National Championships
- KPC has two crews heading off to CORA National Championships on September 27th, the KPC Wave Breakers (our Junior Racing Program) and the Prune Pickers.
Fall 440
- The Fall 440 continues until the end of October. Challenge yourself to paddle 220 or 440 kilometers by October 31st to earn a unique decal.
- You can input your distances on the Fall 440 spreadsheet here.
Cold Season Coming Soon
- Cold season protocols will be in effect starting October 1st. Keep an eye out for accreditation details for those wishing to continue paddling into the fall.
